Well it seems that other"secular", "publishers of record" are also involved in this sort of thing. In his article Why Judeo-Christians Support War, CE Carlson (www.whtt.org) writes about that cooked up Bible, the Scofield Reference Bible published by the Oxford University Press. I have a paperback dictionary published by these same people in 1979. Here is the entry on Palestine: " the former name of a country at the eastern end of the Mediterrean Sea, now divided between Israel and Jordan.
Quite recently The Electronic Intifada wrote how that other British "secular media of record" the BBC broadcasts about places like Jerusalem as though such were utterly and entirely concerned with "Israel" alone.
